1) Connect with one of our agents

When buying a home, start by meeting with an agent to chat. There is no pressure, cost or obligation - but we’ll probably buy you coffee! Together, we will review your short and long term goals and discuss how real estate can help you achieve them. We will craft a list of things that are important to you in a home. We will create a game plan that is customized to your timeline so you can walk away feeling inspired and educated!

 

2) Meet with a lender

Whether you have never spoken with a lender, or your family has used the same one for years, understanding your financial picture is essential to your home search!

Lenders help you plan for and obtain a loan to purchase your home. A lender will be able to provide key insights into your target budget in a way that your standard online calculator cannot. Depending where you are in your search, you can choose to get pre-qualified or pre-approved. Your lender will remain a key partner in your home search - ask us for some recommendations today if you need a place to start!

 

3) begin the search

Once we have a clear vision of your ideal home and your purchase budget, it’s time to start searching! Your Jonny Tat Team agent will set up a customized home search that ensures you are the first to know about new opportunities that meet your criteria.

4) find a home you love

Your Jonny Tat Team agent will take their time showing you homes and helping you build your market knowledge so you can make an informed decision about the perfect home for you!

When you feel you have found the perfect fit, your agent will guide you through the process of writing an offer. If your offer is accepted, your home purchase will go into escrow. The escrow process can take around one month on average, but your agent will be your trusted partner to answer your questions and support you, every step of the way!

 

5) Welcome home!

Once your loan has been fully approved with your lender and the escrow process is complete, it is time for your closing day!

Your agent will make sure all of the necessary steps for you to become a homeowner have been completed, and when all parties are ready and the county has recorded your ownership documents, the home will officially be yours.
